Waterloo Housing Association
New Community Fund
In joining the Waterloo
Housing Group, a
commitment was given to residents that savings made through the
group structure would be used to benefit residents. To demonstrate
that commitment a new Community
Fund has been
established to help members of a community develop projects that
make a positive difference to that community. The project must
involve and /or benefit Waterloo residents and priorities for
funding will be considered by Waterloo
Residents Association. Grants of up to £1000
are
available.
We welcome applications from any group
working within a community that includes Waterloo residents, who
have an idea or project which will benefit the community. We
particularly welcome applications that encourage people to get
involved and work together within the
community.
Our
priorities for 2010 are
Services and activities that help
prevent debt, provide financial advice and reduce poverty
Activities and services for young people and children
Activities and services for older people
Activities and services to help people access paid
employment
We will not
fund applications for
services that are the responsibility of the local authority or
other mainstream services and we won't fund
individuals.
The maximum amount of funding for any
one group or project is £1000 in any year. Applications will first
be considered by Waterloo
Residents Association who will recommend to Waterloo's board
(through the Residents Consultative Panel) which projects should be
approved.
All applications for a Grant must be
made on the official form
